Hosting the Super Bowl in Your Castle Apartment

Posted by editor on 01/30/17

The Super Bowl is just days away and if you are unsure what to do this year, go the distance by hosting a big game day bash. Here are some tips for a party that guests will be cheering about until the next Super Bowl.

Arranging the room is an extremely important Super Bowl party task. The TV is your focal point for the soiree so making sure everyone can see comfortably is high priority.  Create a relaxing game-viewing environment by tossing some throw pillows and cozy floor cushions from other areas of the house anywhere people might take a seat. If they happen to match your team colors, even better! Add a splash of team spirit to your party space by draping a garland with your team’s colors anywhere that’s looking a little sparse.

Having a lot of snacks is a key factor for any party but especially for Super Bowl. Keep guests fully satisfied by arranging the majority of your snacks on the coffee table where it’s easily accessible. Don’t forget small snack plates and napkins for easy munching. Chips and guacamole are always a favorite but setting up a DIY nacho bar may be a big hit! You can have beans and meat so carnivores and vegetarians both have something to eat. Other easy snacks are popcorn, marinated olives, jalapeno poppers, meatballs, bagel bites, and mozzarella sticks. Pizza is also a safe bet for groups.  You can grab a pie from Coals, or order-in from T&J Restaurant and Pizzeria or Villa Rustica Trattoria. Equally important are the refreshments. Have a station with iced-down beer, a large batch of Fourth Quarter Punch, soda, water to hydrate, and maybe some bubbly for a celebratory drink!

If you currently don’t have any plans for Game Day, head down to our Media Lounge – we’ll have the game on the big screen for all our Castle residents to enjoy.
