Celebrating National Wine Day Around Port Chester

Posted by editor on 05/24/17

Wine lovers will have an extra reason to cheers on May 25th; it’s National Wine Day! It’s not only a great excuse to open your favorite bottle but it’s also a perfect way to kick off Memorial Day weekend. If you want to celebrate at home you can run to the store and pick out any type of wine, this holiday doesn’t discriminate, but there are also some great places around Port Chester to go out and celebrate.

Tarry Wine: Spring is here and that means some of you may be switching over from red to white or, of course, to rosé. Tarry Wine is a popular wine store right here in Port Chester. You can join their wine club and each month you will receive a package with three or six bottles recommended from experts in the region of your choice. They also have a large variety of wines including organic options and offer wine classes. The next wine class is June 11th and will focus on Pinot Noir. Attendees will enjoy four different types of Pinot Noir from all over the world and will have an opportunity to join in on the discussion. Meats will accompany the tasting.

Rosemary and Vine: This rustic wine bar is just 2 miles from The Castle apartments. They have a charming and inviting ambiance that puts you in the mood for a delicious glass of wine and some tasty tapas. They have great vegetarian options and Mediterranean fare. Some popular items are their five-cheese mushroom lasagna, truffle garden fettucine, and falafel.
