Beaches Around Port Chester for Summer

Posted by editor on 06/27/17

Did you know that Port Chester has some great beaches just a few miles away? With the 4th of July weekend right around the corner, now is the perfect time to plan a “beach staycation” close to your apartment.

Greenwich Point Park – This park is open year-round and is a wonderful place to run or take long scenic walks.  In the summer you can enjoy relaxing on their clean beaches, reading, and grabbing some delicious food from their concession stand which serves burgers, gyros, smoothies and much more.

Island Beach – Pack a cooler and sit at their picnic tables while you enjoy over 1,000 feet of fine sandy beaches on the Long Island Sound.  There are designated swimming and boating areas, a snack bar, dressing rooms and restrooms.  Sit back and relax as you enjoy refreshing breezes from all directions.  Island Beach offers an ideal retreat from the summer heat and is one of the most treasured spots in Greenwich.

Rye Town Park – A historic park which is great year-round place to visit.  During the summer you can enjoy their beautiful beaches, live music and great restaurants.  Rye Town Park is also located on the beautiful Long Island Sound.
