Posted by editor on 07/31/17

The Westport’s Blues Festival celebrates its 10th Year when it returns this Labor Day Weekend so this a reminder to save the date! It’s never too early to plan for Labor Day Weekend, as we know things book quickly.   Connecticut’s premier live music festival event will feature two stages of music featuring 20 bands and lucky for Castle Residents, it’s just 20 minutes from your Castle apartment.  There will be food vendors, their annual BBQ competition, pie and rib eating contest and more.  It’s the perfect way to say goodbye to summer at the end of August.

Some vendors you don’t want to miss are:

Stone Street Tye DyeStone Street Tye Dye & Graphics is New England’s own premiere handmade tye dye shirts. This company will bring you a blast-from-the-past t-shirt, and they make great gifts! Stone Street hand dies high quality 100% cotton shirts and accessories, creating classic swirls and shirts with original designs on them, including guitars, peace signs, dogs and hearts (and many more!). Their shirts have an 100% guarantee not to bleed if they are washed in cold water and low in the dryer. Make sure to purchase one at the Blues Festival!

The Jerky Hut –This company doesn’t carry your typical jerky; they are known for their unique flavors such as honey jalapeño, organic ghost pepper, honey glazed beef jerky and their Carolina extreme heat beef jerky.  It’s the perfect snack for a blues festival!
