Oktoberfest in Port Chester

Posted by editor on 09/29/17

On September 30th, you can join other Castle residents in the first Oktoberfest in Port Chester.  The events will be held at the Village Beer Garden which is only a five-minute walk from your apartment. Can’t get better than that!

At the event, you’ll find traditional German food, craft vendors, corn hole and live music (a seven-piece Oompah band to be exact).  The after party will be at Garcia’s at Capitol Theatre where The Foxfires will be performing.  If you haven’t checked out these places yet, this is the perfect time to do so.

Village Beer Garden – This restaurant is located right at the Port Chester train station and is open 7 days a week.  It’s the perfect spot to grab a drink after a long day in the office.  They have outdoor seating, a cozy firepit and awesome German food.  Some favorites off their food menu include: Bratwurst, Biergarten Frankfurter, homemade pretzel nuggets, German meatballs and their German herb spaetzel.  They also serve American food such as cheeseburgers, house salads and veggie burgers. On the drink menu you’ll find German beer, craft beer from California and New York, wine and refreshing punches.

Garcia’s – An Iconic live music venue with a lobby bar filled with Grateful Dead singer Jerry Garcia’s pictures and memorabilia. We’re sure it will have some German-themed fun going on for the event!
