Celebrating Halloween in Westchester

Posted by editor on 10/27/17

There are some spooky events happening in Westchester to celebrate Halloween this year.  Whether you’re looking for a relaxing evening filled with hot cider and pumpkins, haunted villages or a costume party, Westchester has it all!

The Village Beer Garden is throwing a Halloween bash on Friday, October 27th.  They’ll have live music, complimentary “hot potion” drinks and costumes are highly encouraged.  The beer garden is also just a five-minute walk from your Castle apartment.

If jack o’lanterns are your favorite part of Halloween—or even fall— you can’t miss an event that transforms jack o’ lanterns into a Statue of Liberty, giant spiders, trains, and more. Hundreds of jack o’lanterns blazing at historic Van Cortlandt Manor also makes for a great photo op for your social media. This event runs through the end of November, but tickets sell out quickly!

Take a terrifying walk through the grounds of a haunted village full of vampires, rotting corpses and other creepy creatures driven mad by the Headless Horseman at the historic Philipsburg Manor. Professional actors, high-tech special effects, elaborate costumes and gory makeup help create the spine-chilling experience. Tickets for Sunday, October 29th are still available for purchase.
