Celebrating National Waffle Day Around Port Chester

Posted by editor on 08/23/18

You’ve probably never heard of National Waffle Day, but this silly little holiday comes around every year on August 24th. If you’re a lover of breakfast foods (or desserts!), you know that Port Chester has great spots for both. Castle residents can celebrate at a few restaurants known for this delicious sweet battered treat, without having to go too far from home!

Port Chester Coach Diner – When most people think of eating a waffle, they picture your typical retro diner with a delicious waffle topped with ice cream or whipped cream – and the Port Chester Coach Diner is exactly where you can find that around us! Open 24/7 and just across town from Castle, this diner will give you exactly the waffle you’re looking for in a traditional diner setting.

The Original Pancake House – If you consider yourself a waffle aficionado and are willingly to travel a little further for that waffle meal, head to White Plains for The Original Pancake House. Located right on Hamilton Ave, this place is so good it’s only open for breakfast and lunch – so you’ll have to plan ahead! While pancakes are where they get their namesake, you will find plenty variety of waffles on their menu as well. A whole section to be exact!
